Kula Organics Produce


From the beginning of 2019, I have been working with Kula Organics Produce to develop and tell its organic story to the world through digital media. The project involves mainly language work (writing, content development & direction) and strategy.

loveLife

In April 2018, working under Kwambele Social Marketing, I designed the strategy with which loveLife runs its social media channels.

On this project, I oversaw the content published on all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Soundcloud), composed press releases and edited written copy.

I was responsible for writing up, editing, publishing and updating the organisation’s content. On my end, it took creativity, leadership skills (the gig fast-tracked my development of those abilities to lead and equally, be composed and think clearly when under pressure) and of course, great writing ability, to produce and publish the stories that went on to representation of loveLife online and in boardrooms.

She Conquers South Africa

While working with Kwambele, I had the opportunity to contribute to a national campaign launched in 2016 by the National Department of Health (loveLife is an implementing partner to the department).

She Conquers (South Africa) is a three-year campaign, executed through a five-pronged approach: retain young women and adolescent girls in school; increase economic opportunities for youth of South Africa (specifically young women); and decrease new HIV infections, teenage pregnancies and gender-based violence among young women and adolescent girls.

She Conquers Wellness 2018 National Activations

2018 was the campaign’s 2nd year anniversary, various partners came together to be part of an activation drive ran across South Africa between July and August.

The outcomes set, beyond the activations, were: increased knowledge of access to health information and services; demand and uptake (by community members, especially adolescent girls & young women) of health services; escalate the visibility of health service providers and link community service providers to health facilities and schools. The activations also sought to increase participation in the Conquer Connect Clubs, run by youth in their communities, at a national level.

Move for Health (Day)

10 May is Move for Health Day; which forms part of the development of global and national strategies on diet, physical activity and health. The initiative encourages all South Africans to take responsibility for their health by engaging in cost effective physical activities such as walking, regular exercise and other extramural activities.
